Le Clos du Château is the latest cuvée form the Philippon family, made exclusively form vines located around the Château and inside closed walls - which is called a "Clos". These small plots have been managed within the sustainable Agriculture practice - no chemicals, manual harvest - and have been aged for 20% in oak barrels. The result is a slightly more dense structure than the classic Chablis, with a discrete buttery touch, the same aromas of white flowers and yellow fruit (peach) on a mineral background. Quite a surprising but classy Chablis!
“Les Fourneaux” is a tiny and beautiful Premier Cru plot with a South West exposure.
